LIVE: BKU leader Rakesh Tikait refuses to leave UP Gate protest site

The leaders of 16 opposition parties said that they will boycott President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to both House of Parliament over farm laws.

The protesting farmers continued to allege that ‘anti-social’ elements orchestrated the Jan 26 violence in order to torpedo their peaceful protests against the laws.

In the aftermath of Republic Day violence in Delhi, security was heightened at Singhu, Ghazipur border as the government deployed additional forces. Agitating farmers have accused the government of trying to intimidate them and feared force could be used to evict them. In Baghpath, Uttar Pradesh protests came to an end with locals alleging use force by police. While the police claimed that the matter was resolved through deliberations and the protesting farmers were sent home on Wednesday night.
